Apply for recognition of an expert training course for biocidal products

If you wish to offer a training course for one or more uses of biocidal products that require expert knowledge, you must first have the course recognised by the competent authority.

These are training courses for carrying out fumigation with plant protection products or biocidal products or for certain uses of biocidal products, for example

  • in the hygiene sector,
  • as pesticides or
  • as protective agents to prevent the development of microbes and algae

are used.

In order to have the course recognised, you must prove that the course meets the legal requirements and that you have qualified teaching staff.

The regional council responsible for the location of the course provider.

Prerequisite

The following requirements must be met in order for a training course for biocidal products to be recognised:

  • The course concept fulfils the requirements for expertise in accordance with the Hazardous Substances Ordinance or the corresponding Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances (currently in progress)
  • The course provider has professionally qualified course personnel

Procedure

After you have applied for recognition of a training course for biocidal products, the competent authority will check the application and request additional documents if necessary. You will receive a notice of recognition.
