Home work - six-monthly list notification
Homeworkers and home-based tradesmen within the meaning of the Homework Act as well as persons who, because of their need for protection, are treated as equivalent to those employed in homework are subject to special statutory protection provisions.
Companies that provide home-based work are obliged to keep lists of home-based workers. The lists must be sent to the competent office every six months.

Prerequisite
You employ persons in home-based work.
Persons in home-based work include:
- persons employed in homework (homeworkers and cottage industry workers)
- Intermediate foremen and forewomen
- other persons treated as such
Procedure
All persons who are employed with home work or with their passing on shall be entered in the home work list.
For each calendar half-year, a new homework list must be created and continuously supplemented.
If you submit the homework list online to the competent body:
Complete the associated form in the "Online application" section step by step online and submit it online at the end. You also have the option of downloading the form for the homework list, filling it out and uploading it again. This way is useful if you need to submit a large number of homeworkers in the homework list. The form wizard provides you with help texts to explain the individual form fields. You will receive a confirmation and a completed PDF form for your records.

Deadlines
You must send the home work list to the competent office every six months:
- by 31 July at the latest, the homeworking list for the first six months (1 January to 30 June) of the current year.
- by 31 January at the latest, the homework list for the second half-year (1 July to 31 December) of the previous year.
The deadlines must be strictly adhered to, as the lists are mandatory for proper remuneration monitoring. Violations of the regulations on list keeping may be punished with a fine.
